Is Corey Bojoquerz the answer?
One of the top questions for the Bills is whether or not Corey Bojoquerz is the answer for the team’s starting punter. This is certainly a question, and the Bills likely know the answer, the better question may be if they can do anything to address it?
Bojoquerz was the Bills’ starting punter to start last season before ending up on injured reserve after eight games. The team brought in Cory Carter to compete for the starting job but was released prior to the team’s final preseason game. This left Bojoquerz as the team’s only starter.
However, this is not a vote of confidence as Bojoquerz has struggled this preseason and is likely why the Bills are looking at punters in free agency.
According to reports, the Bills did try to bring in free agent Britton Colquitt and appeared to have something in place. However, the Vikings stepped in and Colquitt elected to reunite with Gary Kubiak.
The front office will likely continue to work the phones and should bring someone in for a workout this week. It remains to be seen if being this close to the start of the season if the Bills can upgrade the position.
