Dawson Knox

The other third round pick by the Bills, tight end Dawson Knox, saw his first NFL action against the Lions with 16 snaps but didn’t have any receptions or targets. The former Ole Miss Rebel had missed the previous two games, as well as most of training camp, due to a hamstring injury.

The tight end position is one that still has plenty of uncertainty heading into the final preseason game and into the regular season. The Bills have been missing three tight ends, with Knox and Jason Croom dealing with hamstring injuries and Tyler Kroft still coming back from a broken foot.

This is good news for Knox though as he is still in contention for this starting job. The fact that he missed the first two preseason games, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him on the field in the final preseason game to get a few more reps and give the coaching staff a little more tape to evaluate.
