What will the offensive line look like?

The biggest question for the Buffalo Bills at this point is what will the starting offensive line look like when they take the field against the New York Jets. It has been almost an impossible task for the coaching staff to really determine which starting five makes the most sense due to the team’s multiple injuries the past few weeks.

The Bills have been without their top free agent signing, Mitch Morse, for a majority of this time as he works his way through the concussion protocol. The good news is that he is progressing but at this point he seems unlikely to play in any preseason games. He has already been ruled out for Friday night’s game against the Detroit Lions.

Even with Morse missing most of camp, he is going to be the team’s starting center and will likely have Dion Dawkins and Quinton Spain to his left, at tackle and guard respectively. It is the right side that is the biggest question mark.

The Bills’ second round pick Cody Ford has bounced between right tackle and right guard the past few weeks. He has been playing alongside Ty Nsekhe, who has been at right tackle, but he is dealing with a knee injury.

It was interesting to hear from Sean McDermott on Wednesday if the plan is Nsekhe at tackle and Ford at guard once everyone is healthy. However, the head coach said the team will evaluate after Friday’s game. This gives an indication that nothing has been fully decided at this point for the offensive line.
