Can Corey Bojorquez secure the starting job?
The starting punting job is still up for grabs between Corey Bojorquez and Cory Carter however that could end on Friday night. Head coach Sean McDermott announced on Wednesday that Carter would not be able to play against the Lions.
McDermott: Also not playing Friday include Tyler Kroft, Cam Lewis, Cory Carter, De’Ondre Wesley. With Carter out its a big opportunity for Corey Bojorquez in punting competition. #Bills

This means that it will only be Bojorquez for the Bills on Friday night and if the former New England Patriot has a strong game, it may be enough to win the battle. He has played well this preseason, and on four punts he is averaging just over 43 yards per punt.
Bojorquez is also listed as the team’s holder for field goals, which is another reason why he may have a slight edge over Carter.

It is never great to see a player lose a training camp battle due to the fact he has to miss time due to injury. However, this is an opportunity that Bojorquez needs to capitalize on at this point in the preseason.
