Tight End

Tyler Kroft, Tommy Sweeney, Dawson Knox, Lee Smith

Cut: Jason Croom, Keith Towbridge, Nate Becker, Kyle Carter

It is hard to get a read on the tight end position, due in large part to the number of injuries they have been faced with. Their top free agent, Tyler Kroft, has not returned from a broken foot while Jason Croom and Dawson Knox have missed time due to hamstring injuries.

The play of Tommy Sweeney, in place of the injured Croom and Knox, has been enough to make him pretty much a lock for the 53-man roster, along with Lee Smith, who is a top blocking tight end in the league.

This then leaves the battle between Knox and Croom and with the team investing a high draft pick in Knox, it looks like Croom will be the odd man out.
