Josh Allen bounces back against Panthers

The performance by Josh Allen against the Indianapolis Colts left a lot to be desired as he went 6 of 11 for 66 yards. He didn’t look very sharp and struggled with his accuracy.

However, against the Panthers that was not the case.

He finished the day completing 9 of 11 passes for 102 yards. He made some great throws to tight end Tommy Sweeney, once along the sideline and then a nice throw down the middle of the field over the Panthers defender.

The Bills’ quarterback looked in rhythm and was getting the ball out quick. If there was one thing that did not change from week to week was the fact that he has developed a strong connection with Cole Beasley, who had five receptions for 44 yards. The early returns of this free agent signing have been tremendous and should help the second-year quarterback.

The real test now will be if Allen can have strong back to back performances, especially with the third preseason game being considered a dress rehearsal for the regular season, next week against the Lions.
