Former Panthers returning to Carolina

It is certainly becoming a running joke of which former Carolina Panther will join the Buffalo Bills next. The pipeline of talent from Carolina started with the Bills signing Sean McDermott as their head coach, former Panthers’ defensive coordinator, and Brandon Beane as general manager, formerly in the Panthers’ front office.

Since that time, the Bills have brought in players like Kelvin Benjamin, Star Lotulelei, Derek Anderson, Mike Tolbert and Dean Marlowe to name a few. This is a trend that doesn’t seem to be slowing as the Bills signed safety Kurt Coleman and cornerback Captain Munnerlyn just in the past few weeks.

It certainly makes sense for the Bills to target players like this because of their familiarity to McDermott, who was defensive coordinator for six seasons with the Panthers. The learning curve for these players is almost zero and they can step in right away without missing a beat.

While it is only a preseason game, it would certainly be a good feeling for all these former Panthers to secure a win against their old organization.
