Buffalo Bills: Key storylines to watch at start of training camp
How does Josh Allen look entering camp as the starter?
The biggest storyline for the Buffalo Bills entering camp will be how Josh Allen looks at the start of camp. The interesting storyline for Allen will be more about how he carries himself and can he adjust to entering camp as the team’s starting quarterback.
This will be a significant change from a season ago when Allen showed up to camp as the rookie and competing for the starting job. The former first round pick was tasked with learning the offense and even what it means to be an NFL player with additional scrutiny that he didn’t see at the University of Wyoming.
This year though, Allen is entering as the unquestioned starting quarterback and expected to be a leader on this offense. He should have a firm grasp on the offense and know the plays which will allow him to read defenses and quicker reaction times.
There certainly will be some growing pains, due in large part to all the new personnel on the offensive side of the ball. He will need some time to build a relationship with John Brown, Cole Beasley and even center Mitch Morse. However, the fact that there are so many new faces on this side of the ball could help Allen really take command of this offense and be the leader this team needs.
