Buffalo Bills: Key storylines to watch at start of training camp
What does the depth chart at wide receiver look like?
In addition to the offensive line, the front office provided Josh Allen with new weapons at wide receiver in the form of John Brown and Cole Beasley, who will be joining Zay Jones and Robert Foster at the top of the depth chart.
Unless the Bills’ offensive coaching staff plans to run more four-wide receiver sets in 2019, one of these four will be watching more from the sideline this upcoming season. The battle will likely come down to Foster and Brown as the team’s primary speed threat on the outside.
Brown, as a member of the Baltimore Ravens, had a bit of a breakout season with 715 receiving yards, averaging 17.0 yards per reception and five touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Foster who was an undrafted rookie last year, finished the season strong with the Bills with over 90 receiving yards in four of the final seven games. He averaged 20 yards per reception, which was the best number in the NFL among players with at least 20 receptions.
The wide receiver position is one fans will have to watch closely and it wouldn’t be surprising if the depth chart is changing regularly through camp and into the season.
