Can Josh Allen take next step?

There may not be a bigger question for the Buffalo Bills entering 2019, and one that will impact their success more, than if Josh Allen can take the next step in his development.

There is no question that as a rookie Josh Allen provided this offense a spark, due in large part to his athleticism and the way he picked up yards with his legs. In 12 games last year, Allen picked up 631 rushing yards and actually led the team in this category.

However, this scrambling is not sustainable for a productive career for a quarterback. This upcoming season the hope is that Allen will improve as a passer in part to added talent at wide receiver. The Bills brought in free agents John Brown and Cole Beasley to compliment Zay Jones and Robert Foster, who had strong finishes to 2018.

If Josh Allen is able to take that next step, this offense should be more than capable to compliment one of the top defenses in the league. That is a recipe that should make this team very competitive in 2019.
