Buffalo Bills News: Fallout from the Antonio Brown drama
Buffalo Bills fans had a wild weekend of Antonio Brown news. Alas, he is not a Bill and the team must pursue other options at wide receiver.
Antonio Brown was headed to the Buffalo Bills. Until he wasn’t.
The Brown to Buffalo drama dominated Thursday night until Friday morning brought some answers. Specifically, that he wasn’t headed to Buffalo.
Then the news broke over the weekend that he was traded to the Oakland Raiders. Well, it was fun while it lasted.
This was a fascinating case study of social media along with an interesting look at how Bills fans viewed Brown. Some, myself included, were excited when the initial report came out that he was headed to Buffalo. Others wanted nothing to do with him.
The initial report from Ian Rapoport was odd anyway considering no other reporters jumped in and confirmed it. Adam Schefter was silent, which is never a good sign.
In good news, free agency gets underway this week and that means the Bills will indeed be adding some talent. No more insane late night rumors of trades that aren’t accurate.
Let’s start the week with a look at the latest Bills news in this Monday edition of The Morning Charge.
