Buffalo Bills fans who want some winter football can get that with the arrival of the Alliance of American Football, which launches this weekend.

NFL football has been over for a full workweek, but there is some more football on the way this weekend.

Just in the form of the Alliance of American Football. Buffalo Bills fans may even recognize some of the players taking the field this weekend.

The new league features eight teams and the first game is this Saturday. I know I will be watching to at least give it a try. I also want to see if someone like Aaron Murray can use this league to get another job in the NFL.

Or maybe even in the XFL next year.

There are no big-name former Bills in the new league, but names like Kaelin Clay and Ron Brooks should ring a bell, especially if you are trying to name random Bills players from the past.

We look at this news and more in what is a Friday edition of The Morning Charge. I get to spend my weekend writing a literature review! And taking football viewing breaks.
