3. Browns vs Bills: Mayfield vs. Allen showdown
Who would have ever thought that this game could be listed as a match to observe. With both teams finding their franchise guy, this will make for a great game to watch.
Baker Mayfield and the Browns had their best season since 2014. They went 7-9, 3-13, 1-15 and 0-16 before the Mayfield era began in Week 3. They ended at 7-8-1 (including a winning record in their own division).
The Bills were forced to start Allen starting in Week 2 after Nathan Peterman almost repeated awful history. It seemed to pay off as Allen showed signs of high promise with both his arms and legs.
Freddie Kitchens was just named the Browns new head coach. Kitchens was promoted from the offensive coordinator position and he helped the offense take a step-and-a-half forward in 2018. With the connection him and Mayfield have already, that could trouble defenses for the future. Does it look dangerous? Not now, but that is what next season is for and the Bills are on that plan.
The number one overall pick vs. the number seven pick will be a sophomore showdown as both of these franchises look to turn things around in a positive way.
