Buffalo Bills veteran Kyle Williams is playing in his final NFL game on Sunday. His teammates took some time to speak highly of him.

It is always weird when a prominent athlete retires.

That is the feeling this week for Buffalo Bills fan as Kyle Williams prepares to play in his final game.

The five-time Pro Bowler was never a superstar, but he has been a mainstay along the defensive line for 13 years. Young Bills fans may not remember a team with Williams on the defensive front.

Williams will be remembered for more than just his play on the field. He was a leader both on and off, and it is easy to see why his teammates respect him so much.

The team shared this video on Twitter yesterday, featuring some players talking highly of the 13-year veteran:

The Bills only made the postseason one time during Williams’ tenure. Yet he never left or demanded a trade. He embraced the city and as a result, the people embraced him.

New players showing up to Buffalo could look to Williams as how to be a great member of the Bills, or any NFL team for that matter.

There are plenty of players who retire to no fanfare. Some even have to retire after no team will sign them. That is why this retirement is special. Fans can give Williams a great send-off, and his teammates will surely celebrate with him in the locker room after the game.

Next. Kyle Williams decides to call it a career. dark

The stadium will also go insane if Williams makes a big play at the end of the game. Imagine if he gets a sack to clinch a win. That postgame locker room atmosphere will be like the team made it back to the postseason.
