The Buffalo Bills started the year with a quarterback competition. Only one individual from that group remains on the team.

I remember earlier in 2018 when it was common to see endless debates about who should be the Buffalo Bills starting quarterback in Week 1 of the regular season.

There were the vocal AJ McCarron supporters and those who believed Nathan Peterman deserved another chance. Then there were those who thought there was no time to waste and Josh Allen needed to start.

Cut to today and both McCarron and Peterman are members of the Oakland Raiders, while Allen is the starter in Buffalo. What an odd situation.

It was no secret that Allen was going to start at some point. It is just crazy to see both McCarron and Peterman on the Raiders in 2018 after fans spent months debating about their involvement with the Bills.

Jon Gruden clearly has a thing for Bills quarterbacks. Maybe he will bring back EJ Manuel for another go-round with the Raiders.

We look at the latest news surrounding the Bills in a Thursday edition of The Morning Charge.

Buffalo Bills News:

Nathan Peterman has officially found a new home (BuffaLowDown, Steven Kubitza)

The news was announced and everyone had their chance to make a joke. But it is good to see Peterman get another shot. Hopefully he can finish his NFL career with some good memories after a tough beginning in Buffalo.

5 takeaways from Bills vs. Lions from the stands (BuffaLowDown, Stephen McCarthy)

McCarthy was lucky enough to be in attendance for Sunday’s win over the Lions and shared some observations from the game. And the good news is that after a win, there are plenty of positives to talk about.

Bills locker room unhappy with no Pro Bowl nods (Bills Wire, Nick Wojton)

The Bills had no Pro Bowl selections and the team was obviously not happy about that. At least the team is doing well enough to be upset and stake a claim to there being some snubs.

Some more on the signing of Peterman.

It sure would be something if he turned things around and became a starter once again.
