The Buffalo Bills continue to move up the 2019 NFL Draft order. That and more in a Thursday edition of The Morning Charge.

Christmas is less than two weeks away and the Buffalo Bills only have three games remaining in the 2018 NFL season.

Oh how fast the time goes.

The 4-9 record has the Bills out of playoff contention and should have the front office keying in on filling out that big board for the 2019 NFL Draft.

Right now the Bills are in the No. 6 overall spot and could go even higher considering the worst record in the NFL right now is the 3-10 mark held by three teams. The Bills are tied with three other teams at 4-9.

There was a glimmer of playoff hope a few weeks ago but the damage done by some bad losses earlier in the year have turned out too much to overcome. Those and the fact Nathan Peterman and Derek Anderson got starts at quarterback.

One may wonder what could have been if Josh Allen had started all season, but the time on the sidelines did allow him to learn more about the NFL game. It also kept him fresh considering he continues to take some shots when he runs the ball so much.

The record allows the Bills to add yet another top prospect, or perhaps a few if a trade is made. We look at this and more in today’s edition of The Morning Charge.

Buffalo Bills News:

Focusing on defense again in 2019 FanSided NFL mock draft (BuffaLowDown, Steven Kubitza)

The mock drafts keep seeing the Bills get better prospects, and that continues in this latest one as the Bills make the defense even better for 2019.

Josh Allen may be forced to run often in Week 15 (BuffaLowDown, Steven Kubitza)

Allen needs to stop taking so many hits. Unfortunately, he may be forced to do more in the running game with some injuries at running back.

LeSean McCoy, Stephen Hauschka out of Bills practice (PFT, Josh Alper)

Some injury updates as we approach the final stretch of games this season. The fact the kicker is hurt after a cheap shot is just terrible.

Bills’ Robert Foster finally playing up to vast (and fast) potential (ESPN.com, Mike Rodak)

Robert Foster came to the Bills as an undrafted free agent and could end up earning himself a spot as a key contributor in 2019.

Stories like his are among the positives that come out of losing seasons.
