The Morning Charge: Bills fall inches short of victory in Miami
The Buffalo Bills played tough but came away with a loss down in Miami. That means any hope of the playoffs is likely gone.
The Morning Charge is back! Unfortunately, it does not come after a Buffalo Bills victory.
After a few months of not doing this, I have decided to bring back this daily post to start the morning off with some Bills takes both from this site and from around the Internet.
We return on a Monday after a heartbreaking loss for the Bills. If only Josh Allen had thrown the ball a few inches farther. Or if Charles Clay was a bit faster.
Alas, the team is now 4-8 and any slim hopes of a playoff berth are realistically gone. I doubt too many were planning for the postseason again, but it was still a possibility and added some rooting interest here in December.
Now the focus will be mainly on the development of Josh Allen and his progression in this offense. He had a solid game through the air on Sunday with 231 yards and two touchdowns, but his main impact came on the ground with 135 yards. Not to mention how much he ran around before throwing passes.
The good news at this point is that the Bills are back to playing competitive football, as opposed to whatever you want to call what we saw when Nathan Peterman and Derek Anderson were starting.
Let’s take a look back at yesterday’s game and more in this Monday edition of The Morning Charge.
