Tremaine Edmunds

Tremaine Edmunds shows up on this list after the team used a first-round pick on the rookie linebacker. He is already off to a great start as he signed his contract right away. Bills fans are still waiting for Josh Allen to follow his lead.

The pick used on Edmunds shows that the team believes he can be a focal point of the defense for a long time.

Hitting on draft picks is one of the biggest keys of building a sustainable winner so Edmunds has a lot of pressure to prove that he is worthy of being a first-round pick. The team may not be able to get better if another Shaq Lawson situation arises. More on him soon.

This draft will be remembered by Bills fans due to the selection of Josh Allen, and the rookie will be compared to the other quarterbacks the Bills decided not to take. But finding a dominant linebacker and a defensive captain all in one could lead to the Bills being able to mostly focus on offense in future drafts.

But before that is a reality, Edmunds needs to prove that he isn’t another first-round pick on defense who will fade away before he can sign a second contract.
