Analysis:
If you’ve read any of my previous articles, you know that I’m not a big fan of Josh Allen. I thought he was a second-round talent at best. I understand that the kid has a rocket launcher attached to his right shoulder.
But, if we are going to be real here, accuracy is a must in a league where throwing windows are miniscule. It takes touch and footwork, and both attributes can be considered his biggest weaknesses. Until he corrects that issue (quarterbacks with accuracy problems rarely do), he may be another name on the list of Bills QB busts.
The organization drafted him high in the draft, but they understand what kind of prospect he is. He has the tools to be successful but needs to be groomed for a year or two. Allen will benefit more if he watches from the sideline to start his career.
Depending on how the season goes, fan outrage may force management to throw the rookie into the fire early.
