Buffalo Bills News: Trying to rank the best fans in the NFL
Buffalo Bills fans were ranked rather low in a recent ranking of NFL fanbases, bringing into question just how fandom should be measured.
Aside from maybe the Chargers, fans of most NFL teams will claim that they are the best fans in the NFL. A lot of Buffalo Bills fans surely feel this way.
That is why it was odd yesterday to see the Bills ranked near the middle of a ranking of the NFL fanbases, which will be shared shortly. But upon closer inspection, the list in question was based on some suspect measurements.
From money spent by fans to social media followers, the Bills were at a disadvantage from the start.
I’m not sure how fanbases should be ranked, or if anyone should even try to do such a thing. There is no way to quantify fandom, as much as some would like to try.
Fandom is such a personal thing too. If I watch Bills games in the comfort of my home and live and die with every play, am I a bad fan for not commenting on the team’s Facebook posts? I sure hope not.
