Buffalo Bills fans won’t hear any crazy comments from Sean McDermott regarding Josh Allen, but the rookie has the chance to prove himself on the field.
Sean McDermott is not the type of coach who will come out and say something to rile up Buffalo Bills fans. At least not intentionally.
He spoke with the media Thursday, with links to that story shared later on in this post, and made it clear that Josh Allen is the third quarterback right now, but nothing is set in stone. Nothing dramatic there.
This is typical of what fans are used to in June. It is easy to get caught up and expect major announcements when you see the team on the field, but we are still over a month away from training camp.
Allen is likely going to continue to work with the third-team offense up until training camp, when he will hopefully do enough to at least pass Nathan Peterman on the depth chart.
This is what McDermott is supposed to do, but it shows that this Bills team is in a state of stability. It is nice to see a plan in place actually being followed. I also realize that is easy to say now in the summer after a postseason appearance.
Instead of going down a rabbit hole of the potential scenarios at quarterback this season, here are today’s latest Buffalo Bills headlines and news in a Friday edition of The Morning Charge.
