2018 NFL Mock Draft: Buffalo Bills trade it all for a top quarterback
No matter the position on defense, Oakland needs help. Besides Karl Joseph and Khalil Mack, there are few recognizable names on the Raiders defense. Finding those two some help is a priority for Jon Gruden, so adding Edmunds helps them both.
Edmunds is big, fast and a playmaker. He can rush the passer, support the run, go sideline-to-sideline and even drop in coverage. He can help both Mack and Joseph and be a key piece in the middle of a transforming defense. (Stephen)
Previous Pick: Roquan Smith
They can go many ways with this pick. Miami would love one of the top quarterbacks to fall to them, but the price may be too high. Lamar Jackson may intrigue them, but I think they opt to wait until the later rounds to take a quarterback.
They will select one of the best defensive players in the draft. Ward offers them a defensive playmaker that will matchup with the opposing teams’€™ best receiver weekly. (Justin)
Previous Pick: Derrius Guice
Landry is one of the best pure pass rushers in this draft, but he also offers a lot in stopping the run too. The Giants could have elected to stay at No. 2 and pick Chubb or Barkley, but moving back to acquire a plethora of picks allows them to fill several of their needs and remain in win-now mode.
Putting Landry opposite of Oliver Vernon creates a dynamic one-two punch on the outside for New York, and Landry can stand up and rush from a 3-4 or put his hand on the turf and rush there. The Giants make out well here with the first of their two first-round picks. (Stephen)
Previous Pick: Denver (traded back) selects Denzel Ward
