Mike Vrabel is a defensive guy. He understands to be successful in the NFL you need to have plenty of pass rushers. The team secures one of the best in the class at No. 25.
The Titans will select Landry to help add youth to their pass rush. Derrick Morgan and Brian Orakpo aren’t getting any younger and are great veterans that can help Landry along with his development. (Justin)
Previous Pick: Sam Hubbard
With the departures of Dontari Poe and Adrian Clayborn, Atlanta desperately needs help along the defensive line. While adding a defensive tackle to help plug the run and rush from the inside, the Falcons can take advantage of a supremely athletic defensive end falling in their lap.
Marcus Davenport has an immense amount of talent, but has yet to prove it against top competition. He is big, fast, and strong – much like Ziggy Ansah several years ago out of BYU to the Lions. He turned out to be one of the best defensive ends in football and has developed his athleticism into refined skills.
Davenport has that type of promise and can really help a Falcons defense that faces Drew Brees, Cam Newton and Jameis Winston a total of six times a year. (Stephen)
Previous Pick: Taven Bryan
The Saints are a team that doesn’t have many needs. Drew Brees continues to play at a high level and the defense is much improved.
They will choose the best player on the board or look to trade back. In this situation, New Orleans decides to beef up their defensive line by selecting Da’Ron Payne.
Payne was a force for Nick Saban last year at Alabama. He has a great blend of run stopping ability along with pass rushing skills.
The Saints get a great player late in the first round. (Justin)
Previous Pick: Trade to No. 17 (Lamar Jackson)
