The latest episode of the BuffaLowDown Podcast focuses on the question of whether or not the Buffalo Bills should trade up in the 2018 NFL Draft.
We’re deep into March with the NFL Draft around the corner. It seems like the constant question surrounding the Buffalo Bills is whether or not they will trade into the top five.
A few weeks ago we saw the New York Jets trade into the No. 3 overall pick with the Indianapolis Colts. Could the Bills jump them and trade with the New York Giants?
It seems as though every day we’re hearing different opinions on whether teams in the top five are going to draft a quarterback. That leads us to the topic in the latest episode of the BLD Podcast.
The Browns’ jettison of DeShone Kizer and acquisition of former Bills starting quarterback Tyrod Taylor as a potential bridge QB seem to be a prime indicator of Cleveland’s intentions.
The Jets appear to be in the market for a QB, with the signing of Teddy Bridgewater as an apparent bridge (no pun intended) quarterback. They also re-signed veteran journeyman Josh McCown.
If the Bills decided to trade up with the New York Giants, I could see it happening on draft day like Chicago did last year trading to No. 2 with San Francisco. However, the Giants may be on the market for their quarterback of the future. Two-time Super Bowl MVP Eli Manning is no spring chicken. The Giants have also shown signs of a rebuilding process based on some of their offseason moves.
On this week’s edition of the Buffalowdown Podcast, Brad “The Bruiser” Eichkorn and Alex Jones discuss:
- What would the Bills need to give up to move to No. 2?
- Thoughts on some of Brandon’s Beane’s free agent moves
- The addition of AJ McCarron
- Draft dreams
- Potential trades
