The Buffalo Bills face an interesting dilemma with Zay Jones, but his job may be safe after recent comments made by GM Brandon Beane.

The Buffalo Bills were put in a tricky situation after a video surfaced involving Zay Jones. Bills fans are well aware of the video.

Initial reaction from fans was mixed. Some sent their well wishes and hoped for the best, while others wanted the team to cut ties with the young receiver immediately.

What ultimately matters is what Brandon Beane and Sean McDermott think, and right now it appears that Jones will keep his job.

An article on newyorkupstate.com shared some comments from Beane:

"“Our plan is for Zay to continue to be a Bill,” Beane told reporters.“Sean and I did speak with Zay after everything settled down. He’ll be back in Buffalo soon. It’s an unfortunate situation is probably the best way to phrase it. It was a private conversation between me, Sean and Zay so I’m just going to leave it there.”"

Beane can always change his mind and cut ties with Jones, but this could be a situation where the passage of time helps it die down a bit.

As crazy as it may sound, this situation happened at the perfect time of year, given it had to happen at all. The news cycle is completely focused on the draft, and free agency fallout was still on the radar when this incident occurred.

Things would be much different if this happened during the season, or even during the summer. That doesn’t change what happened, but at least it can be buried in the news cycle and the team can handle it in an effective manner.

Fans will know more about Jones’ job security after the draft. If the team grabs a few receivers, Beane may have to go back on his word and say he changed his mind.

Time will tell, but it is good to see the Bills are keeping this in-house for now.
