Buffalo Bills: Five QB options via trade for 2018
No. 2 – Nick Foles
Now here is a guy that could come in tomorrow and be ready to play right away, and nobody would think twice about it. Foles is currently trying to lead the Eagles to the Super Bowl and even if he doesn’t he would still be an attractive target for the Bills.
Foles is somewhat of an interesting story seeing as how all of his success has really come with the Eagles, despite venturing to other teams. 2013 was the breakout season for Foles with the Eagles, when he started 10 games and threw for 27 touchdowns and only two interceptions. Foles then left Philly after the 2014 season and had stops with the Rams and Chiefs, neither of which was overly successful. Now, Foles is back in Philly and trying to lead the Eagles to a championship after seeing Carson Wentz go down.
Foles has the mindset to be a long-term solution in Buffalo and he also has the skill set. If Buffalo does indeed move to a run-heavy offense in 2018 (as rumored), Foles would be a solid fit. Sure, Foles can toss the ball around a bit but a run-heavy offense does suit his style a little bit better. Foles time in Philly is proof that he can get it done, so if he were to find his way to Buffalo, it wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world.
