Mike Shula- Offensive Coordinator, Carolina Panthers.

This seems like a match made in heaven. It was definitely a shock when Shula was fired from the Panthers earlier this week after their playoff berth. Shula was with the team since Cam Newton came into the league in 2011. He was promoted to Offensive Coordinator in 2013 after spending two years as the Panthers Quarterbacks Coach.

Shula is two seasons removed from drawing up an offensive game plan that torched the league for 500 points scored in the regular season. Then continued that success throughout the playoffs helping lead the team to the Super Bowl.

This is only speculation at this point, but Shula could be a package deal with Ken Dorsey. Dorsey was his Quarterbacks Coach in Carolina and helped develop Newton. McDermott knows both coaches well dating back to his tenure with the Panthers.
