Buffalo Bills @ Kansas City Chiefs: 3 Bold Predictions

ORCHARD PARK, NY - NOVEMBER 12: Tyrod Taylor
ORCHARD PARK, NY - NOVEMBER 12: Tyrod Taylor

Last week the Bills and Nathan Peterman imploded in front of our eyes against the LA Chargers.

It was not pretty. Thankfully Sean McDermott has named Tyrod Taylor the starter this week for what could be a season ending game. Let’s get into the predictions…

Tyrod to throw for 300 yards

We all know this doesn’t happen very often; he’s only done it once as a Bill. He threw for 291 yards in Kansas back in 2015, with the help of an on-fire Sammy Watkins. Despite Kelvin Benjamin being out, I expect Tyrod to bounce back and have a career game.

The Chiefs started the year fast but have faltered of late, losing 4 of their last 5 games. Tyrod will take advantage of a leaky defense and keep the Bills “in the hunt”.  Watch out for a big game for Charles Clay.

Buffalo Run defense to improve

Considering how bad the Bills run defense has been recently, this is actually a good matchup to get it back on track. Kareem Hunt has not rushed for 100 yards since week 5 against the Texans. He had 37 yards in Dallas last week, against a poor defense.

Deandre Coleman provided an upgrade at DT and there was a slight improvement last week compared to the Saints game, but it was still poor. I can see Coleman getting more snaps this week and making a big difference, if he receives some help.

Charles Clay to have 100 receiving yards, TD

Tyrod’s favorite target will have a big day if he plays, with Kelvin Benjamin out Tyrod will look to him often. The Chiefs secondary is poor despite the addition of Revis and his island. Clay has been getting back into his stride but will be fully ready come Sunday.

If Clay does have 100 receiving yards and a TD to match, it’s very likely that the Bills had a good day.
