Tyrod Taylor Needs To Take Another Step Forward

Tyrod Taylor was phenomenal last week. There’s no denying that.

Like Week 7’s opponent, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Raider’s defense is shaky at best. Taylor needs to take advantage once again.

With a full week of practice for Deonte Thompson, expect the electric wide receiver to be involved in the offense more on Sunday. He was targeted just four times against Tampa Bay, but made the most of his opportunities.

Thompson can stretch the field, which plays to Taylor’s strength and has been something the Buffalo offense has been lacking.

This is also another week with Jordan Matthews re-installed into the offense. He’s the most-talented wideout on the team. Matthews needs to make more of an impact than he did last weekend with a two-catch, 10-yard afternoon.

Taylor did a good job using his legs against the Bucs, rushing for 53 yards. It would be a good idea to continue that way of attack against the Raiders.

Taylor’s ability to run makes him a difference-maker.
