With training camp officially over, here is a look at what I think the final 53 man roster will look like based on where things stand after breaking camp.  This is my second version of ‘Predicting the 53’, check out my pre-training camp prediction here.

QB (3): Tyrod Taylor, Nathan Peterman, TJ Yates

  • The only question here is whether Peterman holds on to the backup job, one that he earned with a solid training camp.

RB (3): LeSean McCoy, Johnathan Williams, Cedric O’Neal

  • No changes here

FB (2): Patrick DiMarco, Mike Tolbert

  • No changes here

WR (7)Jordan Matthews, Anquan Boldin, Zay Jones, Brandon Tate, Corey Brown, Jeremy Butler, Rod Streater

  • Obviously, big changes here.  I expect Brandon Beane to cut Andre Holmes, which is one part of getting an additional compensatory pick.  Rod Streater had a decent camp, so I have him making the final roster.

TE (3): Charles Clay, Nick O’Leary, Logan Thomas

  • No changes here

OL (8): Richie Incognito, John Miller, Ryan Groy, Dion Dawkins, Cordy Glen, Jordan Mills, Eric Wood, Michael Ola

  • It was not a good camp for Vlad Ducasse, so I have him getting cut, which is the second piece of the compensatory pick puzzle.  To take his spot, I picked Michael Ola.

CB (6): EJ Gaines, Kevon Seymour, Tre’Davious White, Shareece Wright, Leonard Johnson, Greg Maybin

  • I swapped out Darby for Gaines, the only change at this position.

S (4): Micah Hyde, Jordan Poyer, Colt Anderson, Bacarri Rambo

  • No changes here.

LB (6): Lorenzo Alexander, Preston Brown, Ramon Humber, Gerald Hodges, Reggie Ragland, Tanner Vallejo

  • Due to a less-than-steller camp from Matt Milano, I have Hodges making the roster over him.  Ragland has a terrible summer, being demoted to the 3rd team, but I would be shocked if the Bills gave up on another high draft pick that was traded up for.

DE (3): Jerry Hughes, Shaq Lawson, Eddie Yarbrough

  • Ryan Davis will be cut, the final piece of the compensatory pick puzzle.  Of course, the emergence of Eddie Yarbrough has assisted in that decision.

DT (5): Marcell Dareus, Kyle Williams, Jerel Worthy, Deandre Coleman, Adolphus Washington

  • I might have been wrong about Washington falling victim to the wrath of McDermott due to his July incident.  He is a solid backup with starting experience, so I have him making the roster this time around.

ST (3): Stephen Hauschka, Colton Schmitt, Reid Ferguson

  • No changes here.
