Tyrod Taylor – Roman Reigns

For Bills fans and the entire national media, there is a debate. Is Tyrod Taylor a franchise Quarterback? In WWE the debate is, is Roman Reigns the franchise of the WWE?

For both fanbases there are plenty of reasons to argue both sides. On the one hand, Taylor has been a 2-time pro-bowler. When was the last time you could say that about a Bills QB? On the other hand, he hasn’t proved definitively he can lead a team to the playoffs, nor win games solely with the passing game.

For WWE, Reigns is clearly the ‘anointed’ future by the company. Fans seem Reigns is thrust upon them as somebody they have to cheer for, so they rebel and ‘boo’. He’s extremely talented, but has been stopped by a fanbase that won’t ‘buy-in’ to him as a champion simply because Vince McMahon thinks he is.

Reigns has all the tools, plus several quality matches in his resume. His biggest issue is inconsistency in character and storylines. Over the past year though, Reigns has found consistency by not worrying if he’s a babyface or heel.

For Taylor, he is gaining consistency as a passer. If he continues, success will follow, and Bills fans will all jump on board too. Either way, like Reigns, Taylor isn’t a bad guy, or a guy, but he is THE guy.
