1. The New Regime

Trade that shirt in for a different shade of blue Sean McDermott. In this old headshot, coach is seen wearing a Carolina Panthers shirt. The place where he spent so long preparing for the opportunity to coach the Bills he was offered months ago.

Rex Ryan was a player’s coach that always seemed to have rumors floating around him that affected the well-being of the team. The players he coached would’ve taken a bullet for him, but that did not translate well on the field.

Enter Sean McDermott. Buffalo took a different angle in this hire. Although it is never a bad thing to have your players behind you, he will need to aim for more of a coaching role than a friendly role if he wants to change the culture for the better.

Buffalo is a young team, and the rookies and sophomores need a strong figure in charge if they are going to buy into what the team is attempting to do.

Look for his style of coaching this training camp, and see how it compares to that of Rex Ryan.

One of the more dysfunctional things about this team was the general manager, Doug Whaley. The new hire, Brandon Beane, was added to the team after the draft. Luckily, the rumor is that Whaley was uninterested in the draft, so he did not have much to do with it.

The team will move forward with Tre’Davious White and Zay Jones as their top rookies this summer. Brandon Beane has already made crucial decisions, and it will be interesting to see how he handles the team moving forward.
