Buffalo Bills: Season Ticket Prices Will Remain Flat in 2017
It has been an extremely tumultuous last 2 months for Terry Pegula and the Buffalo Bills’ organization.
Included in the Buffalo Bills‘ “highlights” are extending the NFL’s longest active playoff drought to 17 straight years, firing the head coach just 2 years into a 5 year contract, national reporters claiming that the organization is riddled with dysfunction and a disastrous end of the season press conference.
So, it should come as no surprise that the Bills are not asking fans to pay even more money to watch them play next year.
In a letter sent to season ticket holders, team President Russ Brandon said:
"“The entire organization understands this past season was a disappointment and we share in your frustration. While we did not achieve our goals, we remain steadfast in our commitment to bring a championship to Buffalo.”"
This marks the first time in three seasons that the Buffalo Bills will not raise ticket prices for fans wanting to see the team. Despite rising them three out of the past four seasons, watching the Bills live at New Era Field continues to be one of the best “bang for your buck” options in the league.
During the 2016 season, the average ticket at New Era Field cost just $68.18 — which ranks in the bottom 5 in the NFL, according to a team spokesman.

Maybe management is trying to extend an olive branch to fans, maybe they are trying to appeal to the fans on the fence about renewing, maybe it’s just good business.
I happen to believe that all three of those are true.
I also believe that marketing expert Russ Brandon knows that the quarterback-uncertain Buffalo Bills are going to have a difficult time selling the new coaching staff — and possibly this team — to the fanbase.
Sympathizing with fans’ wallets is a great way to help build excitement for the 2017 season.
