Fantasy Football Outlook Buffalo Bills vs. New England Patriots

Buffalo Bills Wide Receivers and Tight Ends
We would avoid all the other Bills receivers until their passing game improves. In Watkins absence last week, Robert Woods still only finished with 6 receptions for 51 yards. You can expect Woods and Marquise Goodwin to be targeted more this week but we expect their output to be limited to about 40 to 70 yards in any given week. Tyrod Taylor threw for just 119 yards with Watkins out last week which is not a very encouraging sign.
The Bills signed Justin Hunter who is 6’4″ with the open roster spot created by Watkins going on injured reserve. Hunter immediately becomes the Bills tallest receiver and could be a red zone threat going forward but he might not have enough of a grasp of the offense to contribute right now.
Bills tight end Charles Clay is due for a big game but we don’t believe in starting players in hopes of getting that big game. The tight end has been a huge disappointment this year. He should be a low-end TE1 or a high-end TE2 in most leagues but instead, he’s been awful through three weeks partly due to his quarterback struggling.
Clay has only been targeted 12 times in three games and has just 67 total yards on the year. The Bills need to find a way to get him more involved in the offense but they haven’t done it yet this season. Until you see it happen you shouldn’t consider playing him.
Tight end Nick O’Leary had a nice 28-yard catch last week. Look for him to get more involved in the offense but not enough to consider playing him in fantasy football. Those are the Bills tight ends but how about the Patriots two big tight ends? Find out how we think they will do on the next slide.
