Bills Players in NFL Top 100: Players 91 – 100
NFL Network started the unveiling of the Top 100 Players in the NFL heading into 2016 as voted on by the players themselves. So far players 91 through 100 have been revealed and two of the Bills players are on the list.
The first player to show up on the list was offensive guard Richie Incognito who is coming off of a Pro Bowl season. He was ranked the 97th best player in the league by his colleagues. That’s a pretty fair spot for the guard and we have no issues with where he landed.
The other player from the Bills to land in the Top 100 thus far, finished just one spot ahead of Incognito at 96. He is an extremely high-caliber player and it was surprising that he wasn’t ranked higher. Of course, we are talking about the Bills star wide receiver Sammy Watkins who had a breakout season last year and who is only expected to get better as he gains more experience in the league and as his bond with quarterback Tyrod Taylor grows.

It’s hard to imagine there are 95 better players in the league than Watkins. There certainly aren’t 95 more talented players in the league than him but it’s possible that he is not higher up on this list because he still has a lot to prove and is still quite young.
NFL Network will slowly release the remaining players in the Top 100 over the coming weeks. What other Bills players might land on this list? The definites should be LeSean McCoy and Marcell Dareus.
Some players with the potential to be included on the list but who are not definites by any means include offensive tackle Cordy Glenn and cornerbacks Stephon Gilmore and Ronald Darby.
Other very talented Bills who were likely left off the list but who probably were ranked just outside the top 100 include Jerry Hughes, Kyle Williams, and Tyrod Taylor. Taylor could easily move his way high up this list in the coming years if he continues to develop the way Buffalo hopes.
