DE Bronson Kaufusi Made A Pre-Draft Visit To The Bills
Defensive end Bronson Kaufusi made a pre-draft visit to the Bills. The BYU defensive end is 6’6″ and 285 pounds according to NFL.com. He is a multi-sport athlete who used to play basketball at BYU in 2012 and 2013 before deciding to focus solely on football.
Kaufusi is the oldest player in the draft. He will be 25 years old during his rookie season in the NFL. The reason why he is so old compared to the other players is because he did a two-year mission on behalf of the Mormon Church after high school.

His dad, Steve Kaufusi, was his defensive line coach at BYU and played professionally for the Philadelphia Eagles from 1988-1990. As the son of a coach you can imagine that technique is definitely one of his strengths. In addition to technique, he is known to have a tremendous work ethic.
He is tall, possesses a ton of athleticism, and is lengthy with thin legs. He could either play a 4-3 defensive end in the NFL or an outside linebacker role in a 3-4 defense which is what the Bills will be playing more of next season.
The concern with him playing outside linebacker is that in college he tried to lose weight in 2014 and play the position but the experiment failed. If it didn’t work in college it’s not likely to work in the NFL.

He is a raw prospect and that’s not a good thing considering he is the oldest player in the draft. His age will affect what round he is drafted in the only question is how much? Currently, he is projected to go anywhere in the second to fifth round range by most experts.
The Bills should avoid Kaufusi due to the fact that he is older, needs to develop and that he has not done well playing outside linebacker in the past.
