Buffalo Bills player profile: Nigel Bradham

Nigel Bradham was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the 2012 draft in the 4th round being the 105th overall draft pick. As far as value goes, the Buffalo Bills got a good value for Bradham going in the 4th round and the potential that he has shown on the field.

Nigel Bradham came out of college, not the fastest guy on the field but he has shown that he can get the job done.

In 2012 Nigel Bradham played in all 16 games, but after a strong performance against the San Francisco 49ers in week 5, Bradham was thrust into the starting lineup and stayed there for the rest of the season starting 11 total games. He came away with 47 tackles that year and a fumble recovery. He had a career game at the end of the season posting 11 tackles, a career high for him and ties a game high for the Buffalo Bills.

2013 came around, and Bradham did not have as a productive season as his rookie one. He only started 2 games but did play in all of them, finishing the season with 38 tackles.

2014 was Nigel Bradham’s most productive season, by far. He played in and started all 14 games that he was available for. He came out of the blocks early and posted a 13 tackle game against the San Diego Chargers in week 3 setting his career high for tackles in a season and the 2nd time he was in double digits as well. He went on to post double digit tackles 3 more times that year. He was also the first player since Jairus Byrd in 2013, to post an interception and sack in the same game.

Bradham finished the 2014 season with 104 tackles, 2.5 sacks and 3 defensive turnovers. Nigel Bradham is in a contract year, this year, with the Buffalo Bills. The Buffalo Bills will be looking to keep Nigel Bradham but they do have others on their list, defensively, that they need to look at and secure first.

Bradham will most likely be looking to be paid at the end of this year, and would have some standing ground if he produces like he did last year to put two solid seasons together and he could be looking at a good chunk of change for a linebacker and a contract extension.

Nigel Bradham is listed as a strong side linebacker, but in a 3-4 defense look for him and Preston Brown to be the middle backers for this defense.
