As the Buffalo Bills continue in their third week of OTAs and we get closer to the start of training camp, here are your daily links for the Buffalo Bills from around the web.
Undrafted OT Chandler has rare opportunity with Bills
"Shortly after not hearing his name called in the NFL Draft, North Carolina State offensive tackle Tyson Chandler became instantly coveted by several NFL teams. After deliberation between Chandler and his agent, the two deemed Buffalo as the best fit. While the roster is deep and talented, only three other tackles are currently on the roster, opening an unusual opportunity for the undrafted free agent."
Watkins can’t wait to get started
"Sammy Watkins won’t say if he was ever truly 100% healthy at all last season. Because the truth is, he probably wasn’t. The Bills wide receiver reportedly played the first several weeks of the season with broken ribs, suffered in the preseason. Then, just as the ribs were finally healing, he showed up on the Bills injury report for five straight games with a groin injury. Just as he seemed to be getting over that, he hurt his hip against the Cleveland Browns in late-November, playing through that injury the remainder of the season."
Bills center Wood’s foundation helps physically challenged children
"Bills center Eric Wood hosted his first annual Dinner for a Difference tonight in Buffalo, raising money for his foundation. The Eric Wood Foundation helps seriously ill, special needs, and physically challenged children in Greater Buffalo enjoy life changing experiences."
Bills linebacker Brown warms to role as signal-caller
"Preston Brown has heard the mantra on a regular basis since the start of the Buffalo Bills’ offseason workouts. “We’re trying to be the best,” is the phrase the Bills’ linebacker has heard, in one form or another, from defensive coordinator Dennis Thurman. The Bills had the NFL’s fourth-ranked defense in yards allowed last season. They had a dominant pass rush, held prominent spots in many statistical categories, and generally made life difficult for most opposing offenses."
Change afoot on Buffalo Bills‘ offensive line
"The Bills’ offensive line will look quite a bit different in 2015 than it did the previous year. To start with, the team signed Richie Incognito, a Pro Bowler three years ago, in February. He has experience at both left and right guard, so he could be a candidate to start at either spot. Incognito, however, will face competition from a few other players. Rookie guard John Miller landed on a list from ESPN.com’s Mike Roadk on players with “rising stock.” The third-round pick has clearly made a strong impression on first-year coach Rex Ryan, and he could start over Incognito or at the other guard spot. Chris Williams will also compete for the first-team job, though he was yet to show up for any voluntary offseason activities and no one seems to know why."
