Bryce Petty, Quarterback, Baylor
Like Hundley, Bryce Petty is a consensus top-5 quarterback in this year’s draft, as well.
There are two aspects of Petty’s game that scare scouts and coaches – the fact that the former Baylor quarterback looked to the sideline for his pre-snap reads and that he hardly huddled during his college career. There’s also those who believe Petty is a system quarterback, too. But that doesn’t mean Petty won’t pan out.
Petty’s not a day one starter, but if he’s given a year or two, he has the size and intangibles to turn into a reliable starting quarterback. Petty can throw a good deep ball and has pinpoint accuracy, something Buffalo has not had in a while.
