Eddie Goldman, Defensive Tackle, Florida State
Like Jake Fisher, it’s a bit of a surprise Eddie Goldman is still on the board heading into the second round.
Goldman is big defensive tackle who does a good job stopping the run.
While it’s hard to think of life without Marcell Dareus would be like, that could be a possibility if contract talks break down in the future and the Bills should have a back-up plan in place. This is where Goldman comes in.
Goldman has the size to play nose guard in Rex Ryan’s 3-4 base defense, but could factor in as a five technique, as well.
The Florida State prospect would provide some good depth along the defensive line, and should be a player the Bills strongly consider if he’s still on the board at 50.
