Like Eddie Goldman, Carl Davis could be a nice insurance policy if things go sour between Marcell Dareus and the Bills.
Davis has the size and length to play in Rex Ryan’s 3-4 defense. While he’s not a premiere pass rusher yet, a lot can happen in a player’s career. If Ryan can get the most out of Davis, the Iowa prospect could be a Pro Bowler down the road.
“On tape at Iowa, he flashed. Here, he did way more than that. He played every snap, he showed athleticism, an ability to push the pocket and get to the quarterback. He may have elevated himself right into the first round and that’s what this game is all about,” NFL Network’s Mike Mayock said, via The Buffalo News.
