With the Buffalo Bills two months into the year, having played 7 games and looking at their 8th game without two guys that accounted for 41% of their offense up to this point, lets take a look at what the Bills have in front of them and where they stand.

The Buffalo Bills pulled out a win against the Minnesota Vikings 17-16 in the dying seconds of the game. This is the third win against an NFC team and all of those games have been close, right to the wire.
The Bills have a strength of schedule for their upcoming 5 games in 6 weeks, as a 11-21 record or a .343% strength of schedule. The Bills will take on the New York Jets this coming week and then goon their bye week. Fred Jackson, at this point, based on his time table should be more than half way recovered and on his way back to the field.
After facing the 1-6 Jets and the Bye Week, the Bills will take on the Kansas City Chiefs (3-3), the Miami Dolphins (3-3), the New York Jets (1-6), and the Cleveland Browns (3-3).
Buffalo has a better record than all of these teams and should beat them all. The Chiefs might be the only team that give the Bills problems, but I still think they should win this game. The Jets did give the Patriots a run for their money, so they are a team we can not take lightly. For the Bills to be a playoff contender after the Bye Week, with this next 5 game/6 week stretch, the Bills need to come out with a minimum of a 3-2 record, which would leave them with a record of 7-5 and set them up for what could be the toughest stretch of their season.
Ultimately, a 5-0 record would almost certainly set them up in the playoffs. They would be sitting with a 9-3 record and could be close to back in first in the AFC East. A 4-1 record during this stretch would also be ideal and would give them a great opportunity for the playoffs. It is in their hands right now. First step is to take it week by week and beat the Jets this weekend.
