Buffalo Bills WR breakdown pt 1

We have, so far looked mostly at the defensive breakdown and overview for the Buffalo Bills.  We are going to take a deeper look into WR situation that the Bills have going into training camp.

Currently the Buffalo Bills have 13 WRs listed on the roster.  There are 12 active and 1 that is listed as reserved/injured, Kevin Norrell.

Stevie Johnson is the most known WR on the team this year.  Johnson is coming into his 6th year.  Johnson has produced 1000+ yards in his last three seasons.  2010 was his only year that he was able to come away with double digit TDs, 10.  Johnson will look to make it his 4th straight season of 1000+ yards and double digits would be a great place for him to be this year and helping out the offense.

TJ Graham is returning to the Bills after playing in 15 games and starting 11 in his rookie season.  He was able to put together a 31 reception, 322 yard 1 touchdown rookie season.  He will need to make an impact in training camp and compete for the #2 spot with the two WR the Bills drafted this year.

Marcus Easley is coming into his 3rd year with the Bills but did not play in 2011 and only played in 3 games last year not producing any stats.  It is good news for Easley that there is a brand new coaching staff in place.  He is in his final year, I would think, where he needs to be productive to make this team.  Unlike Graham, Easley, is fighting for a spot on this team.  Graham has the talent to make the team, Easley needs to show some production.  He does have good size at 6’2 217# but needs to produce.

Kevin Elliott came to the Bills in 2012 after playing in 13 games for the Jags.  He was able to come up with 10 receptions for 108 yards.  He did not play for the Bills in 2012.  Elliot is another guy, like Easley, that needs to show he can produce.  Good size for a WR, but the production levels were even sub-par for a rookie when he was in Jacksonville.  New Staff could be a good thing for him this year to compete for a spot on the team.
