Coming off a fantastic win over the Chiefs in Week 9, the Buffalo Bills are hitting the road this weekend for an AFC East battle against the Miami Dolphins in what should be the final meeting between these two teams this season. The Dolphins are in shambles after “mutually parting ways” with their former general manager Chris Grier, and the culture within the organization is completely nonexistent.
Miami also traded away one of their young pass rushers in Jaelan Phillips to the Eagles. The Dolphins have a better chance at landing the No. 1 overall pick than they do making the playoffs.
As for the Bills, they’ve won back-to-back games against the Panthers and Chiefs to stay in the race for the AFC East with the Patriots. Now they will get the chance to once again get the season sweep on the Dolphins.
When the Bills and Dolphins take the field on Sunday, there will be two former Bills who are now members of the Dolphins taking on their old team.
Former Bills set to see Buffalo again in Week 10
LB Tyrel Dodson
In his last season with the Bills back in 2023, Tyrel Dodson was arguably one of the best players the Bills had. However, the Bills opted to not bring him back after that season which led him to signing with the Seattle Seahawks. Halfway through the 2024 season, Dodson was released by the Seahawks and was eventually picked up by Miami.
In Week 3 against the Bills, Dodson led the Dolphins with 11 total tackles and he also tipped a pass down as well.
CB Rasul Douglas
Rasul Douglas was a great addition for the Bills at the 2023 trade deadline as he not only provided stability for the secondary, but he provided a handful of great plays that helped the Bills win some games.
Surprisingly, the Bills didn’t re-sign Douglas in free agency and he waited quite awhile to be signed. He eventually landed in Miami. In Week 3 in his return to Buffalo, right behind Dodson, Douglas finished second in total tackles against the Bills.
