The Buffalo Bills went through an offseason where there were a lot of changes. Both on the coaching side and on the roster, fans are now looking at a newer team than what they were last year. The Bills made moves that may not have been popular, but they were necessary. Now with a new era coming to One Bills Drive, all fans can do is just sit back and wait to see what happens.

However, one thing that is for sure is that the Bills definitely responded well once Joe Brady was hired as the next head coach. After the news broke that Sean McDermott was fired, there was a massive backlash about how the Bills made the wrong move, simply because there were a lot of opinions that it was the construction of the roster, not the coaching, that was the problem.

The Bills did take on the heat, but they also made a lot of changes for the better on both sides of the ball. They brought in players who fit well in a 3-4 defense that Jim Leonhard will be operating. They also got Josh Allen some help on the outside with DJ Moore and Skyler Bell.

Overall, the Bills had a great offseason despite the huge coaching changes and there should be a good amount of hope going into this coming season. With that being said, not all teams had great offseasons and Jordan Dajani from CBS Sports listed five teams as the offseason’s biggest losers and two of them will face the Bills in 2026.

Two of the teams that were on Dajani’s list as offseason losers with the New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers, both who are set to see the Bills in 2026.

When it came to the Packers, Dajani talked about how Green Bay lost a lot of players both through free agency and trades. In addition, Dajani also talked about how Micah Parson is expected to miss the first four games of the season due to tearing his ACL last season.

While the Packers could have a rough start to their season, they won’t have to worry about Buffalo until December when they welcome the Bills in Week 14 for Sunday Night Football.

As for the Patriots, Dajani talked about the off-the-field issue that was surrounding Mike Vrabel earlier this offseason, but Dajani also mentioned how that the Patriots “are the prime regression candidate in 2026.”

"To make matters worse, the Patriots are the prime regression candidate in 2026. After going 14-3 last season with help from the easiest schedule since the turn of the millennium, the Patriots have the sixth-toughest schedule in 2026, including the toughest Weeks 1-4 strength of schedule by any team in 40 years." said Dajani.

Buffalo will see the Patriots early on in Week 4 in Orchard Park, and they will see them in Foxborough later on in early December. With Drake Maye now emerging as a star quarterback, the Bills and Patriots are expected to battle back and forth moving forward.
