Outside of Josh Allen (and James Cook), the Buffalo Bills don’t get the national attention that they deserve. And that’s a shame, as this is a franchise that has won double-digit games for each of the last seven seasons. But because there isn’t a ton of star power outside of Allen, the rest of the roster is underappreciated.
A perfect example of this is the offensive line for the Buffalo Bills. Not only have they done a fantastic job of keeping Allen upright, but the Bills have had one of the top rushing attacks in the league over the last few years.
While no one player has received a ton of national attention in the way that players like Trent Williams, Lane Johnson, or even Jason Kelce have, this has been one of the league’s most productive units. The expectation is that this will be among the best groups again during the 2026 season despite some moving pieces.
OL guru praises Bills’ offensive line
In a recent article by Brandon Thorn of Establish The Run, he ranked all 32 offensive lines heading into the upcoming season. Buffalo finished near the top of the list, coming in at No. 4. Here is a snippet of why Thorn believes this is an elite unit and why they should get more respect in 2026:
“The unit is led by a top-five tackle duo featuring one of the league’s most unique and imposing players, Dion Dawkins, alongside the silky smooth 6-foot-8 Spencer Brown. Dawkins’ rare mass, length, and unconventional pass-protection approach make him difficult to solve, while Brown’s elite movement skills, independent strikes, and recovery range give Buffalo high-end play at both edges.”
Dawkins and Brown anchor the unit, but the Bills also have a really strong center-right guard pairing with Connor McGovern and O’Cyrus Torrence. The only “weak” spot is the open competition at left guard between Austin Corbett and Alec Anderson.
Buffalo has done a fantastic job of investing into their offensive line despite not spending a bunch of early-round picks. They’ve developed players and have targeted the right kind of athletes in free agency and that has led to their success.
If Dawkins and Brown can stay healthy this season, there is no reason why this can’t be the league’s best offensive line in 2026. They clearly have the talent up front and they are one of the few teams that have the depth with Corbett or Anderson likely to be the sixth offensive lineman off the bench. Expect this unit to dominate again this season, which will keep the floor extremely high for the Bills’ offense once again.
