Training camp for the Buffalo Bills will kick off in a couple of weeks and fans could not be more thrilled for the season to finally start. After an offseason of a bunch of changes both in the coaching staff and roster, the Bills will finally get to show the fans what they will look like in the post-Sean McDermott era.

While the head coaching change from Sean McDermott to Joe Brady is the biggest headline, the biggest impact that fans will be looking for is from the defense. Going from a 4-2-5 to a 3-4 under Jim Leonhard is going to be a sight to see for fans as it’s something way different than what they are used to.

Buffalo hasn’t run a 3-4 defense since the Rex Ryan days, so it will be very interesting to see how the team adapts to it. At the same time, the Bills have done a great job at bringing in players that are a fit for the scheme.

At the same time, the Bills’ defense isn’t perfect, and their biggest weakness remains on the defense according to Mike Clay from ESPN.

Bills have defensive position that remains as team's biggest problem

Mike Clay, Aaron Schatz, and Seth Walder from ESPN put a ranking of each team’s roster and included their biggest strength and weakness, x-factor for the season, and nonstarter that people should know about. When it came to Buffalo's biggest weakness, Clay said that "off-ball linebacker" was the Bills' biggest one.

"Biggest weakness: Off-ball linebacker. Terrel Bernard remains the team's top LB, but he has battled injuries (nine total games missed) and ineffectiveness in each of the past two seasons. Running mate Dorian Williams has generally been a situational player but might need to play an expanded role this season. Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles and fourth-round rookie Kaleb Elarms-Orr are his primary competitors. Buffalo might lean a bit more on three-safety looks in the post-Sean McDermott era due to its LB situation." said Mike Clay.

It’s obvious that the Bills didn’t attack the inside linebacker position like fans were expecting them too. All that they did was draft Kaleb Elarms-Orr and eventually sign Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles. The outside linebacker position is solid as they brought in Bradley Chubb and T.J. Parker, and moved Greg Rousseau as well.

Buffalo’s inside linebacker position doesn’t look too promising right now, and it will get even worse if injuries occur. While Elarms-Orr could very well be the future at the position, Buffalo needs to add in more quality depth for this season. Training camp will give us a better idea, but for right now, that position doesn't look the greatest.
