The Buffalo Bills managed to pull out a shutout 16-0 victory against the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium. How did they do from a fantasy perspective?

Last week, when the Buffalo Bills hosted the Arizona Cardinals, marked the Bills’ first good game of the season — from both a fantasy perspective and reality perspective. However, many people were calling it a fluke and doubted it would happen in Week 4 vs. the Patriots.

Those doubters were wrong.

The Bills followed their 33-18 upset victory vs. Arizona with a 16-0 shutout road victory vs. the undefeated New England Patriots. And once again, the Bills finished with a productive fantasy day — despite being without Sammy Watkins for the second straight week.

Let’s quickly take a look back at last week’s top fantasy performers for the Buffalo Bills:

  1. RB LeSean McCoy: 23 points
  2. Buffalo Bills D/ST: 21 points
  3. QB Tyrod Taylor: 15 points

Up to this point, the Bills’ top 5 fantasy points leaders on the season are:

  1. RB LeSean McCoy: 43 points
  2. QB Tyrod Taylor: 43 points
  3. Buffalo Bills D/ST: 31 points
  4. K Dan Carpenter: 17 points
  5. WR Marquise Goodwin: 17 points

Now that we have a good idea of how the Bills’ have been doing thus far from a fantasy perspective, let’s see how they did in their matchup with the Patriots.

We begin with the 3rd best fantasy performance on Sunday.

12. The Buffalo Bills’ defense lit up the Arizona Cardinals a week ago, finishing with 4 interceptions, a fumble recovery TD and a total of 21 points — which is the fifth best total by a defense in a single week this season. They followed that up with another solid performance of 12 points, which included a shutout victory, a fumble recovery and 3 sacks. The Bills move their sack total to 13 on the season through 4 games — remember, they only had 21 all of last season. If we’ve learned anything this year, it’s simply that our linebacker crew is one of the best in the NFL this year and are not to be slept on.. Fantasy Football. . Buffalo Bills D/ST

Moving on to the second best fantasy performance.

Tyrod Taylor has received a lot of criticism through the first quarter of the season, but it seems like he is finally getting into a groove. Although he isn’t worthy of a starting spot on a fantasy team, there’s certainly some upside being shown now. He finished Week 4 with 246 yards, including a 7-yard TD pass to LeSean McCoy. Without their top wide receiver, Taylor did a great job of getting Robert Woods and Charles Clay the ball. The Bills still need to find a more reliable receiver in Watkins’ absence, but Taylor proved on Sunday that he can make do with what we have.. Fantasy Football. . QB Tyrod Taylor. 15

Fantasy Football. . RB LeSean McCoy. 16. LeSean McCoy is on a mission to prove that last year’s numbers were low because of his injuries. So far this season, he is turning out a much more efficient and productive year and with a lot of football left, he’s got time to do even better. Finishing last season with just 3 TD’s was unlike the McCoy the NFL has known, but he has rebounded this season well and already tied that number from a year ago. Most of his fantasy points this week came from the passing game, notching 38 yards and a receiving TD through the air. He added 70 yards rushing, bringing his point total to 16 on Sunday. If you’re going to start anyone from the Bills’ roster on your fantasy team, McCoy is the man to have. I know because I was one of the fantasy owners that invested a draft pick in him this year. So far, so good.

We now look ahead to our Week 5 matchup vs. the Los Angeles Rams in LA. With a week to prepare, the Bills are hoping to fine-tune their offense and keep their defense looking how it has the past two games.

We have a chance to get above .500 and tie the Patriots at 3-2 with a NE loss.

Every game counts, do you think we can make it happen vs. the Rams?
