The NFL did us all a favor when they put the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football in Week 1. In a rematch from the playoffs last season, we will get a Josh Allen vs. Lamar Jackson matchup early on in the season.

The Ravens got the best of the Bills in Week 4 of last year where they completely dominated the Bills, 35-10 and gave Buffalo their first loss of the season. In the end though, the Bills got the last laugh by eliminating the Ravens from the playoffs winning 27-25.

Let’s face it, the Bills don’t match up well against the Ravens in the regular season. Buffalo has had just one regular season win against Baltimore with Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson under center. However, the Bills are 2-0 in the playoffs against the Ravens when these draft classmates face off against each other.

The Bills will be looking to set the tone early on in the season opener against the Ravens, and a recent Week 1 prediction by Lou Scataglia from NFL Spin Zone, that’s exactly what they do.

Bills-Ravens Week 1 prediction will have Bills fans in full joy

Scataglia recently predicted the Week 1 outcomes for this coming season and even though the Bills were predicted to barely win, Scataglia still believes that the Bills leave Week 1 with a win. Scataglia has the Bills beating the Ravens, 28-27, in front of Bills Mafia:

"A game that could have tiebreaker ramifications late in the season, the Ravens are facing the Bills in a battle of two of the best quarterbacks and teams in the league. Baltimore does have an uphill battle in this game, and if they were playing in Baltimore, I would feel differently. Buffalo is going to defend their home turf in a season where I truly believe a Super Bowl run has to happen."

Even though close games that come down to the wire might put a little fear into both fanbases, getting the win is all that matters. While it would be nice to see the Bills dominate on both sides of the ball and not give any chance to the Ravens to think that they can win the game, all that is important is the final score on the scoreboard.
