The NFL trade deadline is less than a week away and if Brandon Beane doesn’t make a move for a second consecutive year for the Buffalo Bills, there is going to be a ton of anger amongst the fanbase. Now granted, Beane doesn't have the best track record of making in-season trades, but where the Bills are right now, a move must be made.

The Bills had a wide receiver problem last year and while the Bills had attempted to trade for Jaylen Waddle from the Miami Dolphins, they failed to acquire any kind of help at the deadline. This left a lot of fans angry because it felt like the team was just becoming too Josh Allen-dependent.

Now, Beane has to prove that him getting a promotion the same day that Sean McDermott was fired back in January was the right decision by the Bills.

Brandon Beane must make atleast 1 move before trade deadline

By next Tuesday at 4PM EST, Bills fans are hoping that Beane and his staff make a move to either improve the defense that desperately needs it, or even load up more on offense to elevate this already high-scoring offense.

With the Bills releasing C.J. Gardner-Johnson after he served a one-game suspension for spitting towards TE Brock Bowers in Week 6, going after another safety makes the most sense. Even though Gardner-Johnson was not as helpful as the Bills hoped he would have been, the secondary is still in rough shape. Any kind of help that they can get is good help.

However, even though there are still six days until the deadline, time is running out for Beane.

Bills must act sooner than later to acquire more help

We have already seen a good amount of trades this season where teams like the Texans and Bears have made trades to improve their roster overall. The Texans traded for WR Marvin Harrison Jr. from the Cardinals, and then the Bears pulled off a major splash by trading for DT Jeffery Simmons from the Titans.

There could be a lot of movement here soon across the NFL with contenders looking to buy, and sellers looking to stock up on future draft picks. If there is a player or two that the Bills are looking to acquire, them playing a dangerous game of not getting a deal done sooner than later could really hurt them.

The Bills are clear contenders at 6-1, but they have a glaring weakness on defense. Then again, another offensive weapon wouldn't hurt either. No matter which direction they decide to take, they atleast have to take one.

The last thing that they should be doing is standing put and letting the deadline pass without making a move. However, they shouldn't be waiting for the deadline to make the move. Make it now, get adjusted, and then move forward towards the colder months of the season.
